Thank you for registering for the Comprehensive Hoof Care for Equine Chiropractors Workshop! We look forward to meeting and working with each of you, and want to provide you with some additional information regarding the Workshop and the White Stallion Ranch.

Note

Don’t forget that any balance due must be received in full no later than thirty (30) days before the start of a Workshop! Please see the Registration page for payment information.

What to Bring, Etc.

During Workshop times, the weather in Tucson is generally rain-free and very sunny. We suggest bringing along sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat or cap, and a long-sleeved shirt if you don’t like using sunscreen! And don’t forget your riding and hiking clothes, and your swimsuit. You’ll also want a notebook and pen or pencil for taking notes during lectures, and you may want to bring along a camera to capture specific Workshop items as well as Ranch scenery.

There is a large grocery store (with an ATM) and a drugstore located minutes from the Ranch, and we’ll be able to take students to them if necessary. There is also a large Walmart nearby, should some particular item of clothing, etc. be required.

There are a number of beverages available at the Ranch. All alcoholic beverages are in the Bar, and can be purchased there using the Ranch’s honor system. The Bar also has sodas, juices, and water available 24 hours a day – again, they can be purchased using the Ranch’s honor system. The Dining Room has coffee, hot chocolate, and assorted hot teas available 24 hours a day – no charge. They also have water, iced tea, and lemonade available most of the day and evening, for no cost.

There is a gift shop at the Ranch, open every day until early afternoon (2PM or 3PM). There is also a coin-operated aspirin, Tylenol, etc. vending machine in the Pool Room/Library behind the office, and a canned/bottled cold drink vending machine and a snack vending machine located in the Game Room.

For Ranch guests, there is a coin-operated laundry on the Ranch with two washers, two dryers, and a detergent vending machine. Quarters are available at the office.

General Format of Workshop Days

Mornings will be spent in the air-conditioned comfort of either the Longhorn Center (the White Stallion Ranch’s conference center) or one of the dining rooms, listening to the lectures. There are comfortable chairs, with tables to use as writing surfaces. Both locations have restroom facilities, and drinking water will be available throughout the morning.
